These last few weeks i’ve really struggled to write. It’s been so hard to get motivated and think past my feelings and what with the festive holidays, I’ve spent most of the time just trying to wade myself through life. While doing so I was overwhelmed to be nominated twice for the Liebster Award and didn’t want to leave it gone unnoticed.
I started my blog a couple of months back following the trauma of losing my baby. It’s become my place to let it all out and escape the real world while keyboard bashing with a cuppa! I was hoping it would reach at least one other person whom my words can comfort yet now I find myself with added care from a community of people who share the passion to write.
Being nominated for a Liebster Awards gave me a lot of pride on what was turning out to be a bad time for me. It’s incredibly rewarding to have been recognized by Rysie’s Ramblings and kimc91. Thank you both so much for shining a bit of light my way.
Here’s to Rysie’s Ramblings who’s own personal page is full of such lovely little snippets of her life. I love to read her heart warming posts about family and everyday situations.
And here’s to Kimc91 who focuses her blog around living with MS but also showing strong positivity while doing so. She’s one to admire for the way she shares her experiences of coping with the shitty illness she’s been dealt.
I wasn’t aware of the award myself until I was nominated so i’ve copied a standard description to fill you in if you haven’t come across it yet… The Liebster Award is an award that exists only on the internet and is given to bloggers by other bloggers, whose work they find interesting, to motivate them and promote them as well. The earliest case of the award goes as far back as 2011. Liebster in German means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.
I’m not entirely sure of the official rules of acceptance as i’ve read and received different takes on it but most of all I just wanted to have a reason to say a massive thank you to those who have shown appreciation towards my writing and given your time to read it. You don’t realise the effects of those little things until they become things that make you smile and help you through the day.
I’d like to nominate Mama I’d Like to Follow for an award. Her blog is fresh with tips and tricks and touches on topics which i’m sure other mummy’s can relate. There’s also personal moments among her posts which gives an all round variety. I look forward to reading what she has to offer in the future!
I know now that if I can take one positive out of my reasons to start writing it’s that I’ve discovered a whole new world of beautiful people. People with all sorts of different things going on in their lives that are willing to support others through what’s going on in theirs.
